A bit of an introduction I guess, lots of rambling about POTS, Fibro, CFS, Chronic Pain, Migraines, Anxiety, Depression and being discriminated against because of my size...
Apologies for the video being a big of a jumble and jumping from place to place - theres so much I left out - but that would have put you to sleep more than it probably already did. When I said about if I get a bug and it takes a normal healthy person a week or so to get over it - but might take me three weeks - I grossly underestimated that really - three week minimum - but up to about 8 weeks or more at times depending on what the bug is.... :/ I've had a cough for up to 4 1/2 - 5 months that has taken 'healthy' people 2 weeks to get over.... :/
Would love to hear from others who are also a wreck and how you deal with it.
I know it is as hard for folk who have issues putting on weight as it is for folk like me who are trying to lose it. For some of us - weight loss surgery may NOT be an option with loads of other issues going on as well ... this is something we are still looking into - but the fact that I do not heal very well at all is scaring the living daylights out of me - if they do a gastric bypass or sleeve and I DONT heal up - then I am totally and utterly buggered.
My nutrient intake is probably way lower than it should be as far as whats good for me - because I just am not hungry most of the time - and theres a lot of stuff I cant eat because I cant deal with the smell or the texture - for example - I LOVE the smell of strawberries and bananas - but loathe the texture of them. Just something I cannot deal with and expect to keep them down - If I order a chicken sandwich from a deli - and they accidentally use the tongs that have had the thin strips of lettuce on it - if one tiny piece of lettuce gets in - I dont even have to see it - it hits the back of my throat and comes straight back up. Tis ridiculous.
Anyhow - Id love to hear some comments from folk in similar situations and how you deal with the discrimination of being bigger yet having a debilitating limitation that means you have to use mobility aids and disabled parking spots.... And how you deal with people seeing you huffing and puffing because you are in so much pain you are totally out of breath and sweating even in the middle of winter due to pain - but the general public thinks its because you are overweight.... I am at the end of my rope with it all which is one reason I dont like going out in public....
